British boxer Anthony Joshua Discharged from Medical Facility in Lagos Following Tragic Car Crash

Former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has been released from care, local government spokespeople confirmed on Wednesday evening. The athlete was involved in a car accident near Lagos on December 29th, a horrific crash that took the lives of two of his valued colleagues.

Healing from Light Wounds

Joshua had been under observation while recuperating from non-critical injuries, his promoter stated earlier on Monday. The commissioner for information and strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post online that Joshua was deemed clinically fit to continue his recovery at home.

“The boxer and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to say their last goodbyes to his two deceased friends as they were being prepared for repatriation,” the commissioner stated.

Honoring the Deceased

The two men who died were named as Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a performance coach. Omotoso added that the athlete was heartbroken and overcome with emotion over the passing of his two trusted companions.”

The news of his discharge comes as the boxing community shared sympathy for the champion in the aftermath of the terrible crash.
