David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.
Acclaimed writer for children and comedian David Walliams has been dropped by his publisher HarperCollins UK, as confirmed by the firm.
An official for the publisher stated: "After careful consideration, and with the guidance of its new CEO, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish any new titles by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the move was taken subsequent to an investigation into reports of conduct deemed unsuitable towards women.
The publisher did not confirm the motivations for this action, noting: "We refrain from speaking about internal matters."
An Illustrious Literary Career
Walliams is one of the UK's most successful children's authors, having sold over six tens of millions of copies globally in dozens of tongues.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins back in 2008.
A number of his works, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.
He has published over four dozen titles altogether, including a festive story named *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins in October.
A Dual Career
His initial claim to fame came on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE several years ago in recognition of his work for charity and the arts.
This move occurs subsequent to the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's freshly installed boss this past October.
